Officiants

A civil ceremony leader gives voice to your story in a personal way.

An officiant is an alternative to a priest. Often, an officiant is chosen when you want to pay tribute to the deceased without religious elements.

Our officiants come with extensive experience in grief management of various kinds. They all have a personal approach but with a common core of values and commitment.

When you choose to seek support from one of our officiants, you, the person close to you, will sit in a safe conversation with the officiant, where you calmly go through the deceased and your wishes. After the meeting, the officiant will compile a memorial speech that is then shared with you for any adjustments.

Ann Eberstein

Ann Eberstein is an officiant and therapist with extensive experience of meeting people in grief and life transitions. She is a trained officiant with the Masters of Ceremonies and has led many personal funeral ceremonies.

In her work, Ann combines her deep interest in people with her writing and her commitment to art and culture. Her memorial words are vivid and sensual, with attention to relationships, everyday moments and the situations that reflect a person's approach to life. Together with relatives, she weaves a ceremony where words, music and poetry work together to honor the deceased and create a dignified and personal farewell.

The relationship created in the work with the ceremony can, if desired, be followed up with conversational support even afterwards.
